What is the difference between AAC adhesive mortar and cement mortar?

AAC adhesive mortar is specially formulated for lightweight AAC blocks, while cement mortar is a general cement-sand mixture mainly designed for traditional masonry.

Why is AAC adhesive mortar applied in thin layers?

AAC blocks have high dimensional accuracy, allowing thin-bed installation with better material efficiency and wall alignment.

Why is HPMC used in AAC block mortar?

HPMC improves water retention, workability and open time, helping maintain proper cement hydration.

Can traditional cement mortar be used for AAC blocks?

It can be used in some cases, but it may not provide the same compatibility and efficiency as AAC adhesive mortar.

What additives improve AAC adhesive mortar performance?

Common additives include: HPMC, RDP, Polycarboxylate Ether (PCE), PP Fiber

How can manufacturers optimize AAC adhesive mortar formulas?

Optimization requires balancing raw materials, additive selection and laboratory testing according to local materials and application conditions.
